On Nov.26th of 2019, the conclusion seminar of China-Korea joint research project was held in Beijing. Chinese representatives included LIU Shangxi, president of the Chinese Academy of Finance Sciences （CAFS）, FU Zhihua, vice president of CAFS, officials from the Department of International Economic Relations and Department of General Affairs of the Ministry of Finance, China, and members of CAFS research team. Korean Representatives included SUH Joonghae, executive director of Department of Economic Information and Education of the Korea Development Institute (KDI), officials from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Republic of Korea, and members of KDI research group. The Seminar was hosted by Mr. FU Zhihua.

The Chinese and Korean research teams reviewed the process of joint research project and shared the relevant results. Mr. LIU and Mr. SUH delivered keynote speeches of “Fair Growth and Innovation Growth in China” and “Policy Recommendations Related to Korea-China Joint Research projects” respectively. After the theme discussion, representatives of the Ministry of Finance of China and Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Republic of Korea affirmed and thanked the research teams of CAFS and KDI for them cooperating efficiently, promoting the research work vigorously, and accomplishing the research report with high quality.

The China-Korea joint research project is a research project identified by the Finance Ministers of China and South Korea in December 2017, the project includes two topics of“Innovation and Structural Reform” and “Government Policy for Fair Growth”. The research task was undertaken by CAFS and KDI, which took nearly two years to complete. The kick-off meeting was held in Beijing on March 28, 2018. Later, two work promotion meetings were held in Seoul, South Korea on May 29 and Beijing, China on June 28. This meeting is the final meeting of the joint research project.
