The Blue Book of China’s Fiscal Policy: Annual Report on Fiscal Policy of China (2022), a collaborative effort led by Mr. Liu Shangxi, President of the Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences (CAFS), garnered the second prize in the 14th Excellent Pishu Award. The Research on China’s Macro Tax Burden Trend during the 14th Five-Year Plan, authored by Mr. Liang Ji, Director of the CAFS Public Revenue Research Center, won the first prize of the 14th Excellent Pishu Report Award.

The 14th Excellent Pishu Award conducted a rigorous process of preliminary screening, re-evaluation, and final judgment for 459 entries up to requirements, culminating in the recognition of 54 winning publications, including 15 first prizes, 19 second prizes, and 20 third prizes. The Excellent Pishu Report Awards this year received 917 eligible submissions, recommended by a diverse group of editors-in-chief, authors, and Pishu editors. Following a thorough evaluation process, 79 reports were honored, including 20 first prizes, 27 second prizes, and 32 third prizes. The Research on China’s Macro Tax Burden Trend during the 14th Five-Year Plan, authored by Mr. Liang Ji, director of the CAFS Public Revenue Research Center, won the first prize of the 14th Excellent Pishu Report Award.

The Pishu awards, initiated in 2009, recognize exceptional publications from the previous year. The 14th Pishu awards in 2022 introduced new categories such as the Excellent Pishu Award, the Excellent Pishu Report Award, the Excellent New Pishu Award, and the Pishu International Cooperation Award.
